Established in 1991, The English Modern School Network are private, proprietary international schools and are one of the divisions of the Almuftah Group of Companies. There are four schools that make up the English Modern School Network, and they are located in Al Khor, Doha and Al Wakra.

The English Modern School Network is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) under the Private Education Sector, is a members of The Council of International Schools (CIS), and are area authorized centres for The Cambridge University International Exams and Edexcel International.  The English Modern School Network has achieved accreditation with both QNSA (Qatar National Standards of Accreditation), and NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges).

The English Modern School Network are co-educational schools for students aged 3 to 18, representing over 55 nationalities. All schools follow the Cambridge International Curriculum in their Primary and Secondary divisions.

KG1 & KG2 year levels follow a hands on programme with standards that prepare learners for the Cambridge Primary programme. In the Primary Schools, the Cambridge Primary programme is followed in Years 1 through to 6. 

The Secondary Schools, the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum is followed in Years 7 through to 9. The Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is offered in Years 10 and 11. The Cambridge Advanced curriculum is followed in Years 12 and 13.  Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level curriculum is offered in Year 12 and Advanced (A) level curriculum is offered in Year 13 (Doha and Al Khor Campuses).
